Forgotten defender impresses as Nottingham Forest sent Chris Hughton plea

Forgotten defender impresses

Defender Loic Mbe Soh has found game time hard to come by so far this season, but continues to impress in training, according to teammate Scott McKenna.

The 19-year-old has made just six appearances so far this season, with Hughton admitting that a loan deal could be on the cards in 2021/22.

However, McKenna believes that his fellow defender’s opportunity at the City Ground will come.

“He’s been very unfortunate. He trains brilliantly every day and has probably not had the minutes he would have liked,” he said.

“His attitude is spot on every day. He’s one of the best trainers. He’s just been really unfortunate with the lack of minutes he’s had this season.

“But his time will come and I’m sure when he gets that opportunity, he’ll be more than ready.”

Chris Hughton plea

Former Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson has urged the club to stick with manager Chris Hughton after a turnover of 13 managers in the last 10 years.

Hughton took over from Sabri Lamouchi earlier this season and has led the club to Championship safety.

“The problem is you keep chopping and changing managers," Tyson said.

When was the last time they were in the play-offs?

"You've got to look back quite a while now. It's because there's been chops and changes to managers. It's not just Forest, it's every team.

"These owners come in and what I don't get is that their businesses, they've started up from nothing and taken their time to earn their hundreds of thousands, millions, whatever it is - that takes time.

Championship rivals make striker move

Stoke City have made an approach for reported Nottingham Forest target Stephen Humphrys, according to reports.

Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City are all said to be interested in the Rochdale striker ahead of the summer transfer window.

But, according to the72, the Potters are the first club to make their move for the forward, having made the first approach to Rochdale over a possible summer move.
