Hayato Inamura has left Celtic to join FC Tokyo, both clubs have announced.

The 24-year-old defender joined the Scottish Premiership champions last summer, following a breakthrough season at Albirex Niigata.

"I am determined to give my all so that I can become part of Tokyo’s history.

The versatile defender only played one game for Celtic, in a 3-0 home victory over Livingston.

Since joining Tokyo, he has made 17 appearances in all competitions.
