Victor Moses has insisted that he leaves Chelsea with memories that he will "cherish forever" after he finally completed his permanent switch to Russian outfit Spartak Moscow on Friday.
The versatile right-sided player spent most of the 2020/21 campaign on loan in Russia and proved to be a huge success, racking up a total of 20 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and claiming four assists.
Moses is understood to have joined Spartak for a fee of around £4.5million, putting pen to paper on a two-year deal in the Russian capital.
His permanent departure from Stamford Bridge brings his nine-year stay in west London to an end, during which time he helped the club win three major trophies.
After his exit was confirmed, the Nigeria international took to social media to pen a message of thanks to everyone connected with the Blues, especially the supporters.
"After nine fantastic years and 128 games for Chelsea I have now officially left the club to join Spartak Moscow on a permanent transfer," Moses said in his open letter.
"I've loved every moment playing for Chelsea and leave with memories that I will cherish forever, including winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League.
"I've always appreciated the love and support shown to me during my time at Stamford Bridge and would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody connected with the club, with a special mention to the Chelsea fans who have always been brilliant with me.
"I would like to wish the club every success in the future. Thank you for everything.
"I'll always have blue in my heart."
As outlined in Moses' letter, he won three major honours during his time at Stamford Bridge and was a key member of the squad that won the Premier League title in 2016/17 under Antonio Conte.
He made 34 Premier League appearances that season, plus another six in all competitions, proving just how important he was in the success that was earned under the Italian.
Even though the former Crystal Palace ace thrived under Conte's leadership, he struggled to impose himself on other managers that he played under during his Chelsea career, being sent out on loan no less than six times, featuring temporary spells with Liverpool and Inter Milan.
He leaves Stamford Bridge after making a total of 128 appearances, scoring 18 goals and claiming 13 assists.
