PSV Eindhoven are making a late run to sign Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel.
The Dutchman has already had two spells with PSV, completing two loan spells with the Eredivisie club between 2016 and 2018.
And he may now be set to return on deadline day with PSV making a late loan bid for the 27-year-old, according to Goal.
Van Ginkel is still coming back from injury but will likely return to fitness in the new few weeks, making him an attractive prospect for PSV who, according to reports, see the midfielder as a 'top athlete, leader and person'.
Since joining Chelsea in 2013, the Dutchman has made just two league appearances for the Blues.
During that time, he has completed four loan spells including two at PSV and one at each of AC Milan and Stoke City.
Despite his lack of first-team involvement, van Ginkel penned a new short-term deal with Chelsea in the summer to stay at the club until 2021.
But if reports are to be believed, he could well spend his last year on loan at PSV, who could potentially sign van Ginkel permanently for free next summer when his contract at Stamford Bridge reaches its end.
During his first loan spell at PSV, van Ginkel scored eight times in 23 league games and in his second, he scored 21 times in 28 league games.
