President Donald Trump and his allies strongly rejected a Wall Street Journal report that claimed he sent a birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein. The letter reportedly included a drawing of a naked woman and was collected by Ghislaine Maxwell in 2003.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the letter contained typed text with a hand-drawn outline of a naked woman made with a heavy marker. The message reportedly read, “Happy Birthday and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
According to Politico, Vice President JD Vance quickly came to Trump’s defense on the social media platform X, stating, “Forgive my language, but this story is complete and utter bullshit. The WSJ should be ashamed for publishing it.” He also questioned why the letter wasn’t shown before publication.

Trump responded angrily to the report on Truth Social, calling it “false, malicious, and defamatory.” He threatened to sue the Wall Street Journal and its owner, News Corp, which belongs to Rupert Murdoch.

Several prominent MAGA figures joined the defense, including Charlie Kirk, Jack Posobiec, and Laura Loomer. Loomer specifically pointed out that Trump doesn’t typically type letters, suggesting this detail made the story unreliable, typical behavior for Trump’s bestie, who thinks even Lockheed Martin jets are too woke now.
The controversy comes at a time when Trump faces criticism from his supporters about his administration’s handling of the Epstein case, as Trump’s panicked Epstein coverup crumbles while Musk dangles the secrets the sweaty president fears most. Some supporters expected revelations about a supposed client list, but Trump and his officials have stated there is nothing more to uncover from unreleased materials.
The FBI and Department of Justice recently confirmed there is no client list and repeated their finding that Epstein’s death in 2019 was a suicide. Trump has responded to supporters pushing for more investigations by calling them “weaklings” and dismissing what he calls the “Jeffrey Epstein hoax.”
