Forget the Delia effect. Now it's the Cox causation

It was once known as the "Delia effect" – a TV show boosting sales of a particular product (after Delia Smith, as if you didn't know). Perhaps we should rename it the "Cox causation" instead after BBC2's Stargazing Live, presented by Brian Cox, saw telescope sales soar almost 500%, according to the Sun. Amazon reported sales up 491% in the three hours after the show went out. No word on whether it also shifted any albums by D:Ream, of which Cox was once a part. Probably not.
