Forget AirPods Pro: Beats Studio Pro Launched With Cool Upgrade & New Look

Beats Studio Pro in three new colors. Apple

Apple’s AirPods headphones range is undeniably successful. But the company also has another distinct brand, Beats, in its stable. The Beats Studio Buds, it’s just been announced, are record-breakers.

The company describes them as “the fastest-selling Beats product to date, globally”. That’s quite an impressive stat. Not least that’s down to the fact that the Beats Studio Pro headphone have active noise-cancelling, but cost less than AirPods 3rd generation, which don’t, and much less than AirPods Pro (which do). Which is part of the reason many have bought Beats Studio Pro headphones for their iPhone.

And now, Beats Studio Pro are available with a new look, thanks to three new colors that have just been launched.

It means that as well as the current Beats Red, White and Black options, you can choose from Sunset Pink, Moon Gray and Ocean Blue. So, there are now six shades to choose from.

Beats Studio Buds in Ocean Blue. Apple

The punchy Ocean Blue with deep red Beats logo looks best, I’d say, but you may feel differently, of course.

Alongside the new look, it’s been announced that there’s a new pair of features coming to Android users. The headphones will now add something called “Locate My Beats” to the Beats app for Android, plus Product Widgets.

This means that the Find My features already available to iOS users will now be available to Android users, too.

As well as being able to locate earbuds, it makes it possible to access battery life information and control listening modes.

Beats Studio Buds in Sunset Pink. Apple

What’s more, these changes are not limited to Beats Studio Buds, but will work for any Beats products which are compatible with the Beats app.

You can buy all six colors from Apple Stores and apple.com but additionally, three big retailers will get one extra color each. Specifically, Amazon will have Moon Gray, Best Buy gets Ocean Blue and Target will sell Sunset Pink.

The price remains the same at $149.99 (£129.99 in the U.K.). though note that some of the earlier colors can be snapped up for less—Black, Red and White are all available on Amazon for $119.99 or thereabouts.
