A former Celtic star has channelled his inner Neil Diamond in an hilarious social media video.
Alan Thompson, who played midfield for the Hoops between 2000 and 2007, uses a sweeping brush as his microphone and performs rock star moves as he sings along to Forever in Blue Jeans
He dances around his living room as he is cheered by others while a large picture of Diamond is projected behind.
And in a tribute to his days at Celtic park he changes the iconic line to being 'Forever in green jeans'
Alan tweeted the video and added a tribute to his audience.
He tweeted: "A bit of Neil Diamond to finish a great day with the Irish Geordie @hayleydoyle81"
Former teammate Stiliyan Petrov tweeted a single laughing face in response.
And others also congratulated Thompson on his musical performance.
One wrote: "Love it! Great minds think alike. When I sing on the karaoke and there’s blue in the song I always change it to green."
Another added: "Brilliant Tommo and a great choice of song. Tune"
