Another Wanna One singer visits

The former members of K-pop sensation Wanna One always take Thailand by storm. The singer Ong Seong-wu made everywhere he went crowded with his fans while visiting Bangkok for his solo show — Ong Seong-wu 1st Fan Meeting In Thailand: Eternity

In the final round of the singing contest Produce 101 Season 2, the 23- year-old singer came fifth. But after working with Wanna One, he has become one of the most popular members due to his looks and sense of humour.

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL

On March 16 at ThunderDome, the singer kicked off the fan meeting with a dance performance for the Bruno Mars song “Treasure.” The show was divided into two parts — interviews and playing games. The first hour was a long interview, with questions sent by fans.

PLAY TIME

Seong-wu played games such as picking up dolls from a machine and drinking coffee. If he won, he gave away prizes. The singer tried hard for his fans. The two-hour show ended after he sang an emotional ballad, “Love This Moment” and another Bruno Mars cover, “That’s What I Like.”

The morning before Seong-wu met his fans, he gave interviews to Thai press. Here are some highlights.

How do you feel about having your first fan meeting in Thailand?

Seong-wu: I haven’t been in Thailand for so long. I feel really happy to be in the land of smiles. Everyone has given me a very warm welcome since my arrival.

Where would you like to visit in Thailand?

Seong-wu: My previous visit was Pattaya and I also went to an island which was very beautiful. I took a lot of photos there and posted on my social network. If I have a chance, I would like to visit the island again. I enjoy talking photos. And there were many beautiful sites there that I haven't taken photos of yet.

What does the event title “Eternity” mean to you?

Seong-wu: Eternity is an important word. I wish the connection between my fans and myself will be for eternity

Who is your favourite idol?

Seong-wu: I was inspired by many people but now I would like to focus on myself. I wish I will be loved and known by more people.

How has being a member of Wanna One changed your life?

Seong-wu: My life has changed a lot and I feel really grateful. It was like I found a door which I have never known or seen before. After opened it, I discovered myself and have to improve myself more.
