'Forever 21' First picture of young man who died after emergency services raced to property in Scots town

A young man who died in hospital after emergency services were called to a property in a Scottish town has been named locally.

Ross Baxter passed away after police and ambulance crews raced to Cairndhuna Terrace in Wick, Caithness, at around 9.50am on Monday, November 22.

Medics attended and the 21-year-old, from Wick, was rushed to Caithness General Hospital. He died a short time after admission.

Heartfelt tributes have been paid following the devastating news.

Ross has been described as a "cracking person" who "always knew how to put a smile on people's faces."

Leading the tributes on Facebook, Toyah Slater said: "Rest easy up there Ross. Another one taken far too soon from us.

"Thank you for the crazy memories that we will all cherish forever!!

"Hope you and Jamesy are behaving up there.

"Forever 21. You are going to be missed"

Lorrianne Smith added: "Can't believe it, so sad. You were a cracking person Ross.

"You always knew how to put a smile on people's faces when they were down.

"You were just the joker. We all love you Ross Baxter.

"RIP. Don't you get too drunk with James up there. 21 forever."

A post mortem examination will take place to establish the exact cause of death but officers are not treating the death as suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.50am on Monday, 22 November, 2021 police and ambulance service attended at a property in Cairndhuna Terrace, Wick.

“A 21-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Caithness General Hospital where he died a short time after admission.

“A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death that police are not treating as suspicious.

“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
