Forest Gate stabbing: Man, 46, and woman, 20, arrested on suspicion of murder after man repeatedly knifed in east London

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was repeatedly stabbed in a fight near a hotel and leisure centre in east London.

The 33-year-old victim was found with stab injuries opposite Atherton Leisure Centre on Warwick Road in Forest Gate in the early hours of Tuesday.

The attack happened outside the nearby budget Viking Hotel. The man was rushed to hospital where he died.

A 20-year old woman and a 46-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder, officers said.

Both remain in custody at an east London police station.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident would like to hear anyone who has information that could assist them.
