'Forest being Forest. Bizarre approach to the game' - nerves growing for Nottingham Forest fans

It wouldn’t be Nottingham Forest if they didn’t give their long-suffering supporters a panic, would it?

For the first time in a decade, the Reds are on the verge of securing a play-off place, but they’ve not been able to do it, yet passing up a number of opportunities to do so, making it a hard watch for their fans.

Yet another late concession saw them allow Barnsley to score a 93rd minute winner which means the Reds’ play-off hopes will go to the final game of the season on Wednesday night when Stoke City visit the City Ground.

That Patrick Schmidt strike deep into added time also ensured Barnsley avoided being relegated for today at least, giving themselves a real chance of staying up next week.

It should therefore be no surprise that Reds fans are getting a little nervous after their side’s display ahead of their final outing.

That’s no wins in five now for Lamouchi’s out of form Reds, and they will hope to avoid a disaster against Stoke in midweek, and a Reading victory over Swansea.
