Forensics were seen searching a house after it was sealed off by police.
A cordon was put in place around a house at the top of Morningside Road in Norris Green, near to the junction with Muirhead Avenue. Residents reported seeing police at the scene at around 1am on Monday (May 8), with two Matrix vans blocking the road.
A police helicopter was also seen circling over head in the early hours. One neighbour said: "I've never seen so many police in my life. It's scary when it's right on your doorstep."

Another resident said people were often coming and going from the house where the cordon was put in place.
Photos show a cordon stretching around the front of the house and across a set of steps leading up to Muirhead Avenue. The ECHO has approached Merseyside Police about this incident but did not receive a response.
