Forensics have removed a number of cannabis plant s from a house in Falkirk after a 'large cultivation' was discovered.
Officers first arrived at the address in James Street, Laurieston, just after 1.30pm yesterday afternoon, Sunday August, 22.
And this evening, teams in white suits have since been pictured leaving the property with bags of plants and ventilation equipment in an operation which has lasted for more than 24 hours.
Detectives also dug a hole in the front garden, as part of their investigation.
A man who lives on the street told Falkirk Live: "The house has been empty for ages, I'm sure it was a couple who used to live there.
"You occasionally seen a guy go in and out, but I just thought that would have been to collect mail.
"I certainly did not realise there was cannabis plants inside.
"I first noticed police at the house about 3pm yesterday, but I did not give it a second thought.
"It wasn't until I woke up this morning to see teams of folk standing in white suits - that's when I knew there was something serious on the go.
"And the fact they started to dig a hole in the garden. I really did fear the worst.
No arrests have so far been made.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.35pm on Sunday, 22 August, police were called to an address in James Street, Falkirk, where a large cannabis cultivation had been discovered.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident."
