Forensics pictured at a park in Gorton as police search for missing person

Forensics were pictured at a park in Gorton as police confirmed they were searching the area as part of 'missing person enquiries'.

Police were pictured at the gateway to Debdale Park on Sunday evening as part of the search.

Photos taken from the scene showed a number of officers, some wearing head torches, entering the park.

The pictures were taken close to the lake in a bit of wooded area, according to an eyewitness.

Spotlights were located throughout the area, which was taped off by police.

On Sunday evening a spokesman for GMP said: "At the moment officers are in that park as part of missing from home enquiries."

They did not confirm who they were looking for.

The spokesman did not confirm whether anybody had been found as part of the search.
