Forensics officers and police comb Erskine home after 83-year-old is found dead

Forensics cops were still combing a property in a quiet Erskine estate today after a pensioner was found dead in her home.
The 83-year-old woman was discovered yesterday morning, prompting officers to cordon off the house in the quiet cul-de-sac in MacDuff.

Following the grim discovery around 9.30am, there has been a significant police presence, leaving neighbours shocked at the death which is currently being treated as unexplained.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of her death. A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “An 83-year-old woman was found dead within a property on Macduff.
