Forensics examine Wavertree scene after man suffered 'slash' wound

Police were called to a Liverpool street after a man was slashed on Saturday.

Officers arrived in Hey Green Road in Wavertree following reports a male had been injured.

On arrival, patrols found a man with a "minor slash injury".

He is not co-operating with enquiries.

A knife was recovered in the aftermath and will now be forensically tested.

A teenager arrested on suspicion of wounding is facing no further action, while a 31-year-old woman has been charged with possessing a sharp pointed article in a public place.

Kayleigh Graham, 31 and of Burnthwaite Road in Knotty Ash, was released on bail and is due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court next month.
