A road is currently cordoned off by police following an incident.
Merseyside Police tapped off Atherton Street in Prescot this afternoon, Thursday, December 30, restricting access to vehicles and pedestrians.
Forensic officers were seen crouching on the pavement in white suits placing evidence marker points on the ground.

They were also pictured taking evidence to scientific support vans stationed at the end of the road and taking pictures of various parts of the pavement and road.
Currently, there is no indication of what the incident is and the road remains closed while the initial investigation continues.
The small road is just off the main High Street, the A57, and has a variety of businesses and a church along it. It is cordoned off at both ends.
Merseyside Police has been approached for comment.
