Detectives have sealed off flats in Maryhill after a woman's body was found last night.

The grim discovery was made at Cumlodden Drive in Glasgow at around 5.25pm on Tuesday April 6.

Forensic officers cordoned off the block as an investigation into the death remains ongoing.

Cops are standing guard outside the property sealed off with blue tape and markers have been erected on the ground.

At the entrance to the block a blue sheet has been placed down over the front steps.

An ambulance and emergency vehicle remains parked outside on the street.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to an address in Cumlodden Drive at around 5.25pm on Tuesday, 6 April, 2021 following a sudden death of a woman.

"Enquiries are ongoing and a police presence remains in the area."
