The Foreign Office has issued a major update for British tourists hoping to travel to Spain.
On October 25, the Spanish government declared a nationwide State of Emergency which includes a national obligatory overnight curfew.
It also provides regional governments with legal powers to impose further mobility restrictions in their region if deemed necessary.

The Canary Islands are currently exempt from the curfew due to the latest epidemiological data.
These measures are expected to be in place for an initial period of at least 15 days.
The situation is evolving and further measures to control the virus may be introduced across the country at short notice.
In response to the stricter measures, the Foreign Office has now clarified entry requirements for travel to Spain.
On arrival, travellers entering Spain from the UK will not be required to self-isolate.

However, you will be subject to the following three requirements:
- It is mandatory for all passengers travelling to Spain to fill out and sign an online form 48 hours prior to travel, providing the Spanish Ministry of Health with contact information and details of any known history of exposure to COVID-19. You can do this on the Spain Travel Health website or downloadable app. On completion, you will be issued a personal and non-transferable QR code which you must show (electronically or hardcopy) at airport health controls on arrival.

Anyone who presents symptoms or fails one of the above requirements will be seen by a health professional.
