The Foreign Office has issued an "extreme" weather warning to Brits travelling to 13 parts of Spain.
UK holidaymakers are being advised to take care if flying to the destinations - which include tourism hotspots Majorca and Barcelona - after torrential rain and high winds.
The country's meteorological office (AEMET) issues an "extreme risk" weather warning to a number of provinces following Storm Gloria.
The areas affected are Girona, Tarragona, Teruel, Almeria, Jaen, Murcia, Albacete, Valencia, Castellon as well as Alicante and Barcelona.
Officials have also placed a high alert warning on Granada and the Balearics - which includes Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza.
The weather warnings come after coastal areas of Spain experienced high winds and torrential rain, with some areas even reportedly blanketed in snow.
According to local media outlets, the adverse weather led to waves six metres high battering parts of the country, leading to coastal homes in Valencia to be evacuated.
There were also 28 incidents in Majorca as a result of the weather, including fallen trees and flooding.
Tourists are being advised to check the Spanish Civil Protection Unit ( @proteccioncivil ) for precautionary advice on the area you’re visiting.
If you’re in the area you should exercise caution and follow the advice of the local authorities.
The Civil Protection Unit website currently provides precautionary advice to tourists and locals in affected areas, including securing properties.
It also recommends those in Barcelona, for example, consider staying away from trees, walls and anything else that may fall or be swept away by either strong winds or flooding.
