Forecasters predict date when the mini heatwave will end

Nottingham's short heatwave is expected to be interrupted by rain and a drop in temperatures as this week continues.

The Met Office have predicted that the beginning of the week's heatwave will fade away as the week progresses.

Tuesday is said to be a fine and dry day, with plenty of sunshine once early mist and fog patches dissipate. It is set to reach highs of 28C

Wednesday will be similarly sunny, reaching highs of 28C yet again, however, it will change to partly sunny by night time.

By Thursday though it is predicted that the heat will decrease to a maximum of 22°C, and that there will be heavy showers by late as well as clouds.

Friday is set to be another overcast day, with a temperature maximum temperature of 21°C. Light shows are also expected in the afternoon.

On the weekend, Saturday is expected to have cloudy and sunny intervals, but the heat will remain the same at a high of 21°C.

The heatwave looks to be definitely over by the end of the week, as although Sunday is predicted to be sunny throughout only a maximum of 20°C is expected.
