Forecaster predicts snow for Leeds on two days in February

Leeds saw the first snowfall of 2020 just last Tuesday, and more is on the way according to one forecaster.

AccuWeather publishes brave weather forecasts looking ahead to entire months and has predicted it will snow in Leeds on two days in February.

The national headlines recently read that the UK was in for a 'polar surge', though the light scattering we had last week couldn't quite be described as that.

Leeds was hit with high winds and warnings from the Met Office going into the weekend. And now, Saturday, February 15 and Saturday, February 28 are the two dates to look out for in terms of the next snowfall to hit the city.

On the 15th, the forecast reads: "Windy; a mix of snow and rain in the morning followed by a passing shower in the afternoon", with highs of 11C and lows of 5C.

On the 28th, expect "a little snow ending in the morning", "very windy" and "mostly cloudy" with highs of 9C and lows of just 2C.
