NEW YORK – June 17, 2019 – At this week’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Forbes will unveil its seventh-annual World’s Most Influential CMOs list, the industry’s definitive ranking of the top 50 marketers.
Developed in partnership with LinkedIn and Sprinklr, the World’s Most Influential CMOs list recognizes the most-impressive marketers who are driving transformational change within their organizations and the industry more broadly, says Forbes CMO Network editor Jenny Rooney.
Thursday’s list reveal is just one of several key Forbes activations taking place at Cannes this week, including Rooney leading a thought-provoking panel discussion with top marketers such as: Julia Goldin, executive vice president and global CMO for Lego; Raja Rajamannar, chief marketing and communications officer for Mastercard; Syl Saller, chief marketing and innovation officer at Diageo, and Marisa Thalberg, global chief brand officer for Taco Bell. Rooney also will conduct her signature CMO Network video interview series with top marketers sharing their insights and lessons, which comes to life on Forbes.com and through the recently introduced CMO Network newsletter.
“Now more than ever, CMOs are seeking content, connections and community and our CMO Network delivers depth of insight and engagement through multiple touchpoints, including online news and analysis, video interviews, a podcast, a newsletter, and live events,” Rooney said. “As the industry continues to evolve and transform, so, too, will our platform, as we stay one step ahead of the needs of one of the most dynamic, creative and powerful executives in the C-suite.”
With Cannes, Forbes is kicking off a robust lineup of editorial and live-events programming for the second half of the year as part of its robust CMO Practice, the industry’s leading hub for conversation, education and inspiration for global marketers.
- In September, Forbes will introduce a new event – CMO Next – in New York, to coincide with the second-annual CMO Next list, which honors up-and-coming marketers and other executives, including chief brand officers, chief growth officers, chief commercial officers and more.
- In November, Forbes will hold its 15th-annual CMO Summit Nov. 13-15 in Dana Point, Calif., and its third-annual CMO Summit Europe on Nov. 21 in London. The themes of both Summits are “Promise to Practice,” which is designed to help CMOs move from talk to action in an era of increased accountability.
- In December, Forbes will reveal the annual 30 Under 30: Marketing and Advertising list of individuals who are finding success and driving change within large, longstanding industries.
