Forbes: Broncos are NFL’s 11th-most valuable team, worth $2.65 billion

The Denver Broncos are the 26th-most valuable sports team in the world and the 11th-most valuable team in the NFL, according to valuation estimates from Forbes. That’s $5,000,000 more than the team was valued at last year, a two percent increase.

The team’s operating income is $106 million, per Forbes. The Broncos are currently under the control of the Pat Bowlen Trust, which was set up by late owner Pat Bowlen before he passed away. The trust has been tasked with passing down ownership to one of Bowlen’s children when a qualified candidate emerges.

Right now, 29-year-old daughter Brittany Bowlen appears to be the frontrunner to become the next controlling owner. She is expected to join Denver’s staff later this year in a senior management position.

The Dallas Cowboys ($5 billion) are the No. 1 team on Forbes’ list, followed by the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball ($4.6 billion) and Real Madrid, a Spanish soccer team (4.24 billion).
