Canadian academic, environmental activist and science broadcaster David Suzuki joins Australian environmentalist Tim Flannery, and American science historian Naomi Oreskes in a special discussion about the future of the planet.
Just over 200 years ago, there were one billion people on the planet. Now there are 7 billion. Thanks to growth, industry and technology, the world is a vastly different place. But these changes have placed unprecedented forms of stress on our world.
David Suzuki believes we need to radically alter the way we see ourselves in relation to the natural world, and has been advocating for change since the 1980s. Tim Flannery outlined the dangers of climate chance in his book The Weather Makers, and he and Suzuki will speak with Oreskes about how to bring hope to the planet.
