In a list that is 100% subjective, debatable and impossible to please everybody, the guys at For The Win took a stab at ranking college football’s 25 most likable teams for the 2019 season.
Obviously, nobody aside from maybe two fan bases want to see another Alabama and Clemson rematch in the national title game this year.
And that’s where Georgia comes in.
Based on the fact that Georgia is practically the only team capable of preventing yet another matchup between the Tide and the Tigers, the Bulldogs checked in pretty high in the rankings at No. 7.
Think about it. Everybody is sick of Alabama and Clemson. We all know Clemson is unmatched in the ACC, and we know Alabama is going to make it back to Atlanta. In steps Georgia, the nation’s favorite team when the SEC Championship rolled around last December.

The Bulldogs look like the team with the best chance to take down Alabama, which just about everyone is cheering for. They lost a heartbreaker in the SEC championship game last year to the Crimson Tide, making them even more likable because of, well, pity mostly.
One of these days, Georgia is going to take down the Crimson Tide — we can only hope they’ll meet again in the SEC title game and deliver another thriller — and college football fans everywhere will rejoice. But should the Bulldogs suffer another heartbreaking defeat, we’ll probably be out of sympathy by then.
At No. 1 on the list are the Oklahoma Sooners, a pick I don’t personally take issue with. They’re fun to watch.
Texas somehow came in at No. 3. Sure, it’s cool when a powerhouse returns to power (or whatever you want to call the current state of the Longhorns). But…Texas? Eh.
Auburn checked in at No. 13 on the list…yawn. Maybe the Tigers are high because they have an annual shot at taking down Alabama.
At No. 21 is Alabama, followed by Clemson at No. 22.
My personal favorite part of the rankings can be found way down the list at No. 23, where the Florida Gators sit. To summarize: Nobody likes the Gators, they are cocky, talk too much smack and beat women.
Notre Dame, a Georgia opponent, rounded out the list at No. 25. Join a conference.
