For the tech-savvy bride-to-be

Scanning the connected ring.

In moving with the times, Jubilee Diamond -- gearing up to its 90th anniversary next year -- has introduced a collection of scannable wedding rings connected to a mobile phone application.

The Thai jeweller claims to be the first to employ artificial intelligence technology in creating the rings, with Android and iOS versions of the Jubilee iMoment app downloadable in the Play Store and App Store in November.

Downloading the app and creating an account allows users to upload image and video files of the Jubilee iMoment card. Special moments captured in the pictures and clips are ready for viewing once opening the app and scanning the ring.

The marketing campaign is fronted by celebrity couple Puttichai Kasetsin and Warattaya Nilkuha, who demonstrated how to use the app at the launch held recently at Eden Zone CentralWorld.

The groom- and bride-to be have chosen a pair of wedding rings from the new collection, whose designs range from elegant square-shaped bands in white, grey and pink gold to more sparkling slim cathedral rings with a central diamond placed by a microscopic setting technique.

More connected jewellery launches are expected from the long-established brand as it responds to the digital lifestyle and reaches out to a tech-savvy generation.
