An article “UK ‘flash crash’ trader had links to establishment figures” (24 April) incorrectly stated that Mr Gurmatpal Dusanjh had been a director in Nav Sarao Futures Limited and that he was a co-founder of that business. Since publication, Mr Dusanjh has clarified that when the company was set up in 2005 he agreed to act as company secretary on the basis that it was a purely administrative role and a formality. We apologise for the error and can confirm that there is no suggestion that Mr Dusanjh was aware of, or had any responsibility for, any wrongdoing. The relevant paragraphs have been removed from the online version of the article.
