Our interview with Game of Thrones actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster said he is the voice of Gordon Tracy in ITV’s remake of Thunderbirds are Go! and said Gordon “hovers above the action, a disembodied voice in a spaceship”. That’s John Tracy, a character also voiced by Brodie-Sangster (“They got my autograph but wouldn’t serve me a pint”, New Review, last week, page 3).
A piece from Tenancingo, Mexico, last week said Tlaxcala, the country’s smallest state, was “just two hours south of Mexico City” but, as an accompanying map made clear, it lies firmly to the east (“The small town that is the dark heart of the booming sex-slave trade to America”, News, last week, page 2).
Wrong consonant: Iran’s president Hassan Rouhani was commander of national air defence during the 1980s war with Iraq, not, as we mistyped, Iran (“Reformist insider who has ended Iran’s isolation” (Profile, last week, page 30).
Aquatic homophone: Neptune’s Staircase on the Caledonian Canal in the Great Glen is a flight of eight interconnected locks – not, as we had it last week, “lochs” (“Five of the best traffic-free cycle rides in the UK”, Travel, page 45).
