An error introduced at the editing stage of “Nespresso bid to recycle coffee pods” (News, last week, page 15) led us to claim that the coffee company Nespresso was to trial a scheme for consumers to recycle used aluminium capsules for the first time in the UK. This was incorrect. Consumers have been able to recycle their capsules for many years. This will be the first time they can do so through a local council.
