For the record

• An editorial (Michelle Donelan falsely accused two academics of extremist views. She must go, 10 March, p42) said UK Research and Innovation suspended two academics while it investigated their social media activity. To clarify, it was the new advisory group on equality to which they had been appointed at Research England that was suspended by UKRI; it was reinstated after both members were found to have done nothing wrong.

• In an interview with the director Jonathan Glazer about his Second World War drama The Zone of Interest, we referred to a song composed in Auschwitz by a prisoner called “Thomas Wolf”. His name was in fact Joseph Wulf, who survived the camp and became a noted historian (‘This is not a film about the past. It’s about now’, 10 December, New Review, p9).

• An article that reflected views from people in the Gloucestershire town of Stroud (Budget falls short in bellwether seat, 10 March, p5) included a picture of residents Cathy and Neil Brown that was incorrectly captioned as showing Jackie Burnett and Kevin Green.

• A new play by Lindsay Rodden about the life of the Labour MP Jennie Lee is called Jennie Lee, not Radical and Rebel as an article said (‘No footnote’: Jennie Lee emerges from her spouse’s shadow, 10 March, p20).

• It was the Good Morning Britain TV programme that Piers Morgan left in 2021, not This Morning as we said (After 50 years of scandals and stars, a new morning menu, 10 March, p36).
