A story headlined “Johnson urges Nick Ferrari to run for mayor” (News, last week, page 11) discussed Conservative candidates for the forthcoming London mayoral election and repeated material drawn from an article on the website politics.co.uk without acknowledgement. We apologise.
A standfirst written in the editing process on a piece of paid-for content on wild swimming, supported by Skyr yoghurt (New Review, last week, page 20), implied that the Kenwood Ladies’ Pond Association endorsed Skyr yoghurt. This is not the case. We apologise to the association, swimmers named in the article and the City of London Corporation, which manages the pond.
Keyboard fumbles: “Osborne’s hot topics: rigging, ringfences, RBS” (Business, last week, page 39) suggested a welcome increase in diversity in the City when it announced: “An elite crop of black tie-wearing bankers will head to Mansion House ... to hear George Osborne.” Alas, we meant bankers wearing black-tie. And our front page lead said: “Trzaskowski [Polish Europe minister] says all European leaders want Britain to stay in the UK.” That would be the EU. (“Poland warns Cameron not to fool voters over EU poll”, News, last week, page 1).
