In “Are chuggers ethical?”, a piece on charity fundraising (Magazine, 8 February), we misquoted figures from the Community Foundations’ endowment funds. We claimed the north-east’s total amounted to £42m, whereas it is actually £79.5m. Similarly, the south-east’s total is £66m (not £19m). London still lags behind at £25m – though not at the extremely low £500,000 we quoted. Apologies.
