A report on the death of Lord Gavron made errors in references to those who survive him. To clarify: he is survived by his wife, Katharine; his daughters, lawyer Jessica (not Jennifer) Gavron and film director Sarah Gavron, and his son, author Jeremy Gavron; another son, Simon, predeceased him. He also leaves 10 grandchildren, one of whom is the actor Rafi Gavron (“Lord Gavron, former chair of Guardian Media Group, dies at 84”, News, last week, page 11).
“Beware of the pitfalls of a DIY will – they are cheap but the cost can be deadly” (Cash, last week, page 43), pointing out the flaws in DIY will kits and the importance of taking proper legal advice on will writing, failed to make clear that there are differences in the law in England and Wales and Scottish law and the law of Northern Ireland. The article itself only considered English and Welsh law.
Despite artworks with titles such as Spurt Splat Thwump Splish, Christian Marclay’s new show at the White Cube, Bermondsey, London SE1, is not entitled Liquids, as we said in “Wow! Sounds like a lot of fun” (New Review, 1 February, page 31). The show has no title. And Tom and Jerry were not a Disney creation; they were the work of William Hanna and Joseph Barbera.
