Jan. 06--Explore London's springtime cultural scene with arts writer Barbara Isenberg, who is hosting her 30th annual theater-and-art tour. The eight-day tour includes behind-the-scenes visits to theaters and museums, celebrity interviews and meetings with actors, critics and others.
Tour participants will enjoy six top theatrical productions, guided visits to museums and a day in the country. Likely theater includes Duncan Macmillan's new hit play, "People, Places Things," Harold Pinter's classic "The Caretaker" starring Timothy Spall ["Mr. Turner"] and the West End transfer of the Menier Chocolate Factory's sold-out revival of "Funny Girl."
Other highlights include a tour of period costume maker Sands Films in East London, a West Berkshire excursion to Watermill Theatre, a garden tour and dinner at a 17th century estate, full English tea and an insider's look at Britain today with a prominent political writer.
