For a week, Dinesh Karthik wants to swap lives with...

A couple of months ago, India's veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik decided to bid the game adieu, retiring from all forms of cricket. But he remains actively involved as a commentator and expert, sharing his views on the game.

However, during the latest episode of Cricbuzz video series 'HeyCB', Karthik was asked a question that had nothing to do with cricket and did show the former stumper's desire to be as creative as master music composer and singer AR Rahman.

"If you could swap lives with any one celebrity for a week, who would it be and what would you do?" a fan asked Karthik on the show.

"I would love to swap lives with AR Raham," Karthik replied. "(I have) Been his biggest fan, never met him. I would love to see how much creativity goes through (his mind).

"He is a genius par excellence. I have loved his music and how consistent he has been for almost three decades. I would love to go into his brain and see what keeps him ticking."

But Karthik admitted that it will be a challenge for him to spend sleepless nights creating new music compositions, like Rahman is know to do.

"I have heard he works a lot through the night. That will be a challenge, but I still won't mind getting into his brain," he concluded with a smile.

Karthik announced his retirement from the game in June this year. He played 26 Tests, 94 ODIs and 60 T20Is for India.
