As parents, we’re always eager to share our hobbies and passions with our kids. But let’s be real: throwing them on the back of our motorcycle and popping wheelies to our heart’s content might be a little too much. As an expecting dad, I can relate. Heck, I've got a whole bunch of moto-inspired baby stuff in my carts on multiple online shopping platforms.
Luckily, baby motorcycles exist. And if you’re a Ducatista, these might just be the coolest ones yet.
Ducati has teamed up with Italian toy maker Peg Perego, a company known for premium, high-quality ride-on toys since the 1950s, to create a lineup of kid-friendly bikes inspired by the real thing. Now, one look at these things makes it clear that these aren’t just generic red toys for kids to ride on; they’re miniature interpretations of Ducati’s most iconic models, giving young riders-to-be an early taste of the brand’s unmistakable style and racing spirit.

For toddlers just starting out, there’s a six-volt trike priced at 119 euros (about $130 USD), along with a slightly larger version for kids over two years old at 179 euros (about $195 USD). The MotoGP-inspired trike features a chunky front fairing, race-team graphics, and a wide stance for stability—perfect for zooming down the driveway (or your living room) in full baby racer mode.
Now, for bigger kids ready to balance on two wheels, there’s the Multistrada look-alike with a beaked front fender, faux trellis frame, and even working panniers for hauling toys on cross-neighborhood adventures. And for the little speed demons? The Desmosedici GP replica brings full race-bike vibes with sponsor decals, low clip-on bars, and even a roaring engine sound effect from its onboard speaker. Both two-wheelers are priced at 489 euros (around $535 USD) and can be ridden with or without training wheels.

But beyond the cuteness factor, toys like these matter. They give kids a safe, hands-on way to connect with the motorcycles they see in their parents’ garage or on TV (or YouTube, for that matter). They let their imaginations grow, planting the seeds for a lifelong passion on two wheels. And who knows, maybe today’s Peg Perego rider could be tomorrow’s track day regular—or maybe even a future MotoGP champion?
The only downside? For now, these pint-sized Ducatis are only available in mainland Europe. But even if you can’t snag one stateside, they’re worth checking out on Ducati’s official site. And if you’re willing to drop a little extra on importing one into the US, well, let’s just say you’ll have a happy toddler ripping around your home aboard an Italian steed.
