A Newry theatre company have been running an online murder mystery event for theatre fans.
Footsteps NI would usually perform in venues all over Ireland and the UK, but due to Coronavirus restrictions, they've been adapting their theatrical skills.
Starting from last week, Footsteps have been running an event set in 1980s Hollywood.
Footsteps' Jenny Marshall said: "Whilst bars, restaurants, clubs and theatres still remain unable to open for entertainment, this murder mystery will provide you with an evening of enjoyment in the comfort of your home. Even though some venues will be opening shortly, this would be suitable also for the people who don’t want to quite venture out yet. The event is running from Saturday the 20th June-18th July."
Footsteps are well known throughout Northern Ireland for their shows. Locally in Belfast Footsteps do regular performances, including at the Cabaret Supper Club.
Owner Robert Forshaw set up the company in 2010, and it currently consists of over 30 professionally trained top-class performers.
Jenny adds: "With bars, restaurants, clubs and theatres still remain unable to open for entertainment, this murder mystery will provide you with an evening of enjoyment in the comfort of your home.
"Even though some venues will be opening shortly, this would be suitable also for the people who don’t want to quite venture out yet."
The cast of Hollywood Mayhem consists of ten local actors: Robert Forshaw, Conor Ferrin, Jenny Marshall, PJ Houghton, Elisha Gormley, Garry Blevins, Adrian O’Neill, Conor Begley, singer/actor Daire O’Hagan and Daniel McDermott.
The event is running from Saturday the 20th June-18th July. Tickets are available as of now to purchase on eventbrite.ie
