Footie hardman Neil “Razor” Ruddock shocked manager Harry Redknapp with his tackle when he ran out to play a match naked.
Harry, 73, was bossing a team of Premier League legends taking on a team of French nudists in a TV show when the joker decided to adopt their rivals’ strip.
And the 53-year-old’s appearance was doubly unexpected as he was not even in the squad for the day after being ruled out with a heart scare.
Former England and Liverpool star John Barnes, who was working as ’Arry’s assistant, said players were in stitches.
He said: “A game was set up against a team of French nudists. All the guys were shocked. But then Razor actually came out naked on to the pitch!
“Because of health reasons, he was told he couldn’t play. He would have played naked for us though.”
Barnes, 56, who played with Razor at Liverpool in the 90s, added: “That was what Razor was like as a 21-year-old footballer. He’s the gift that keeps on giving.”
The unexpected display of ball control came while the veterans did a European tour for ITV’s Harry’s Heroes: Euro Having A Laugh.
The squad also featured ex-Arsenal aces Paul Merson and Ray Parlour, Man Utd’s Lee Sharpe and Southampton star Matt Le Tissier. The show is on ITV tomorrow at 9pm.
