An American football player has offered some advice to FIFA 23 developers after saying that their latest effort would "scare her children".
Former USA international and current Angel City FC star Sydney Leroux was left baffled by her EA Sports FIFA 23 face scan - seven years after being rather pleased with the likeness.
The 32-year-old, a World Cup winner in 2015, shared a video of her virtual player on the 2023 game before comparing it to her 2016 version, reports The Daily Star.
Leroux said of the newest model: "Please tell me I did not do an entire body scan for that..." Leroux added: You are going to scare my children."
She then posted an image of her 2016 design, which is vastly better - but still said that the chest wasn't to her liking.
Leroux wrote, in saying that they should go back to using the old design with a few changes: "They had the headband, the braid, the neck tattoo, the overly plucked brows and someone even made me CHESTYYYY!!!!
"Deflate my boobs a bit and put a different jersey on. I’ll keep the brows at this point."
Leroux, who called time on her international career back in 2017, joined Angel City last year after 16 goals in 53 domestic outings for Orlando Pride.
The defender has two children with English-born former United States international Dom Dwyer, has a huge Twitter following of more than two million.
Leroux's pleas to change her likeness might well be heeded before the next game, which will no longer have a direct association with the governing body.
The franchise will now be known as EA Sports FC, with FIFA president Gianni Infantino saying that FIFA will partner with another developer.
He said: "I can assure you that the only authentic, real game that has the FIFA name will be the best one available for gamers and football fans."
