Travis Pastrana is a full-blown lunatic. And that's why we all adore the action sports legend, as he routinely pushed the envelope of what's thought to be physically possible. That routinely comes at the cost of breaking every bone in his body, and destroying hundreds of thousands of dollars-worth of machinery. But that's part of his charm, and why, when confronted by him to do something insane yourself, you just say, "F it, let's go!"
Ask me how I know...
But you wouldn't expect everyone to go along with Travis' hijinks. Some people don't have too many concussions that have broken that part of their brain that keeps themselves safe. Some people don't have CTE. Yet, when you get the invite to head to Pastranaland, Travis' home compound in Maryland, and you get to spend a couple of days ripping around the property with Travis at the wheel of countless machines, even folks like footballer Marshawn Lynch can't say no to Pastrana's lunacy.
And that might lead to them rolling a side-by-side during Lynch's 'N Yo' City show for Sports on Prime.
According to the video, "Marshawn Lynch links up with legendary racer and stunt performer Travis Pastrana for his most extreme trip yet, as he visits Pastranaland in Annapolis, Maryland. Watch as Travis shows Marshawn the ropes on motorcycles, BMX bikes, and UTV's in this episode of ‘N Yo’ City."
The episode really quickly devolves into Travis describing the difference between bravery and stupidity and it being "the outcome," to which the two start laughing. Obviously, that goes right into Travis taking his LS-swapped Subaru Brat, complete with rear bed seats, and doing donuts with the footballer hanging on in those rear seats. I say hanging on, as the seatbelts aren't big enough for former running back.
Marshawn then gets an intro to the kind of dogged one-upsmanship that is embedded in Travis' crew, as while he's riding around a little pit bike Kawasaki, the folks at Pastranaland start egging Marshawn on to do a backflip into Travis' infamous foam pit. To which Lynch responds, "Hell nah." Which is probably for the best, as Travis then explains some of the...misfortunes that have befallen his crew throughout the ages.
That, however, doesn't preclude Marshawn from taking a rip around the property with Travis in the driver's seat of his Can-Am Maverick X3 side-by-side. And rather prophetically, Travis explains where to grip the handholds throughout the UTV in case of a rollover, as, well, this is Travis we're talking about and the man only knows one speed: Flat out.
Predicatably, things go rather sideways. But not with Travis behind the wheel. Check out the video and see what happens.
