Football stadium's wall collapses as fans celebrate goal at Caernarfon Town v Cardiff Met

Football fans fell to the ground as a stadium wall collapsed in front of them during a goal celebration.

The incident happened as Caernarfon Town hosted Cardiff Met at the Oval on Saturday. The game had to be halted.

Just before the 20-minute mark, the home side celebrated the first goal of the game, from Darren Thomas, to put Caernarfon 1-0 ahead.

But as players could be seen celebrating together on the pitch, cameras cut to a section of the stadium behind the goal where the wall had collapsed, seeing fans fall forward.

Players could be seen rushing over to help supporters who had been caught up in the collapse.

Thankfully, no one appeared to be seriously injured.

The moment was captured was on S4C's Sgorio, which you can watch below:

JD Welsh Premier League tweeted: "There is a delay in restarting the game here at the Oval after the perimeter wall behind the goal has collapsed after the home fans celebrated that goal.

"No one appears to be injured, and club officials are currently trying to clear that area."

The game resumed shortly afterwards.
