The Football Ramble podcast team are heading out on tour and bringing their live show to Newcastle's Tyne Theatre.
The independent podcast has reached number 1 in the iTunes sports podcast chart and been downloaded more than 65 million times.
Founded in late 2007 by friends Marcus Speller and Luke More, by 2009 the fortnightly show expanded to a weekly episode. Now the team, which includes comedian Jim Campbell and Hartlepool's Absolute Radio DJ Pete Donaldson, record two podcats a week. The Football Ramble has established itself as the largest independent football brand in the UK.
They last toured in 2016, selling out theatres across the UK.
The lads are heading out on a 15-date tour starting this month, including a show at Newcastle Tyne Theatre and Opera House on Friday October 25, 2019.
Of the new tour, Rambler Luke Moore said: ‘I’m absolutely delighted to take The Football Ramble back on the road for our biggest tour to date, and I can’t wait to play my part as sidekick to The Pete Donaldson Experience. I don’t know what he’s got planned but it’s sure to be explosive.’
Fellow Rambler Pete Donaldson added: ‘Can’t wait to get back out on the road, I’ve brought several new awful playsuits that I want to inflict on my people. Bought a new deluxe travel iron; can’t wait to try it out. BRING ON THE RAMBLE TOUR’.
