Solutions

1:B - In the first ever Uefa Cup final, in 1972., 2:C - Forest player Garry Birtles was not too pleased with the draw. “We thought we’d be going to Italy or Spain, somewhere a bit exotic,” he later reflected. “Drawing Liverpool didn’t seem right. Partly because it wasn’t much of a trip and partly because they were such a fantastic team we thought we were bound to lose. We had never played in the European Cup before and it looked like we might be going out without even getting out of the country.” It worked out well enough for Birtles and Forest., 3:B - That was Chelsea’s first European trophy too., 4:D - José Mourinho, unconvinced that the ball had crossed the line, claimed: “The linesman scored the goal.” Either way, the goal was awarded to García and Liverpool went on to win the competition., 5:C - Luckily for Ronaldo, both John Terry and Nicolas Anelka missed for Chelsea., 6:D - Bridge only scored four goals in his six seasons at Chelsea, so his 87th-minute winner came as something of a surprise. “I am mad with joy at the result,” said Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri. Chelsea lost to Monaco in the semi-finals. , 7:D - When his Nottingham Forest team beat Liverpool in September 1978., 8:D - He has not scored for the club since that remarkable night at Anfield but will hopefully be back soon., 9:D - Liverpool won the tie 3-1 – in the last-16 of the Europa League in 2016 – but lost the final to Sevilla by the same scoreline., 10:C - He won the Cup Winners’ Cup final with Barcelona in 1997, when Ronaldo scored the only goal of the game against PSG.
