It was also Houllier's first game back in charge of Liverpool after a heart operation, 5:C - Liverpool beat the Swiss champions 6-1 on aggregate, 6:C - Nicol missed the first penalty but the next four were scored by Phil Neal, Graeme Souness, Ian Rush and Alan Kennedy, 7:C - The Hungarians beat Liverpool 1-0 home and away in the third round of the Fairs Cup in 1968 and reached the final, where they were beaten by Leeds United, 8:B - Supersub David Fairclough sealed progress to the semi-final in the 84th minute, 9:C - Magno Mocelin and Antonio Karmona were sent off in injury time, 10:C - Five European Cups and three Uefa Cups
