Football on TV in April 2022: Sky Sports, BT Sport, BBC, ITV schedules

Club football returns following the final international break of the campaign and there is all to play for.

Throughout the month, Sky Sports will broadcast 18 live Premier League games and 23 from the Championship. BT Sport will show a further five Premier League games, as well as all of the action from the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. The FA Cup also returns with the semi-finals broadcast free-to-air, as normal, on BBC and ITV.

Away from the ongoing title race, the fight for the top four continues, with several clubs also embroiled in a tense relegation battle. Below is a breakdown on what's on and where to find it.

Sky Sports

The biggest highlight on Sky Sports is the title showdown between Manchester City and Liverpool at the Etihad. Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp's side are currently neck and neck in the league table and the game on Sunday, April 10 may well prove to a "winner takes all".

Other big games on Sky include Liverpool's game against Manchester United on Tuesday, April 19, Chelsea's clash with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, April 20, and the Merseyside derby on Sunday, April 24.

BT Sport

As ever, BT Sport remains the only place to watch UEFA competitions. Five English team, plus one from north of the border, still remain in European competition. Liverpool, Man City, and Chelsea compete in the Champions League, West Ham and Rangers in the Europa League, and Leicester City in the Conference League.

BT Sport will also show five early morning Premier League kick-offs starting with Liverpool against Watford this Saturday, April 2.

BBC and ITV

The FA Cup is down to the final four with the Premier League's top three joined by Crystal Palace. Liverpool versus City takes place on the Saturday with Palace against Chelsea a day later.
