SEGA is set to release Football Manager 26 on November 4 for PC and Mac, alongside Football Manager 26 Console on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PlayStation 5. Both the PC/Mac and Xbox versions will also be available on Day One, through Xbox Game Pass.
Football Manager 26 Mobile launches the same day as a Netflix exclusive, while Football Manager 26 Touch makes its return to Nintendo Switch on December 4 for its eighth season.
This year’s release marks a major step forward for the series with the Unity Engine powering the game for the first time. The switch brings upgraded visuals, new volumetric animations taken from real matches and a sharper on-pitch presentation. The Premier League also joins the lineup as a newly licensed competition adding another layer of authenticity.
For the first time, women’s soccer is being introduced to the series, seamlessly integrated into the existing ecosystem and supported by an expansive database. Licensed competitions will be detailed in the weeks ahead. A redesigned interface also makes managing easier and more intuitive, whether you’re new to the series or a long-time player, while tactics, scouting and recruitment have all been refined.
Save game compatibility will carry over despite the move to a new engine, so players can continue careers from Football Manager 2023 and 2024 across FM26, FM26 Console and FM26 Touch. FM26 Mobile will also feature save game compatibility for the first time, though it will retain its own retro style and won’t be moving to Unity just yet.
Pre-orders are available now for $59.99 at SEGA-approved digital retailers, with a 10% discount running through launch day. Those who pre-order on PC and Mac will also get Advanced Access about two weeks early with careers started during that period carrying over once the full game goes live on November 4.
