Championship

• Nottingham Forest’s dismal recent form continued, as a late Ricardo Fuller goal earned Millwall a 1-0 win at the City Ground. Forest have now won just twice in their last 21 league games under Stuart Pearce, while Ian Holloway’s team are within two points of safety.

• Chris Hughton’s Brighton were dragged back into relegation trouble after losing 1-0 at bottom club Blackpool – Jamie O’Hara with the goal from a free kick. It was a good day for the bottom three, with Wigan holding promotion-chasing Ipswich to a goalless draw at Portman Road.

• Derby and Middlesbrough kept pace with leaders Bournemouth, who beat Watford 2-0 on Friday night. Derby won 2-0 at Cardiff despite a missed Chris Martin penalty, while Grant Leadbitter scored from the spot to earn Boro a 1-0 win at Brentford.

• Zach Clough scored twice for Bolton as they drew 2-2 with Wolves, while Jordan Rhodes got the winner as Blackburn beat Fulham 2-1. Leeds won a Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield by the same scoreline, and it finished 1-1 between the division’s two draw specialists, Charlton and Rotherham.

League One

• MK Dons are the new leaders after thrashing Crewe 5-0; Andy Cole’s son Devante, on loan from Manchester City, scored twice for the visitors. They replace Swindon, who lost 2-0 at Sheffield United, while second-placed Bristol City host Fleetwood on Sunday.

• Preston lost touch with the leading trio after they were beaten 2-1 by struggling Crawley; Lee Fowler scored an 87th-minute winner for the hosts. Yeovil replace Crawley at the foot of the table after losing 1-0 at Peterborough.

• Tom Hopper scored twice for Scunthorpe as they heaped more misery on struggling Leyton Orient, winning 4-1 at the Matchroom Stadium. The day’s other winners were Oldham, who beat Notts County 3-0, and Barnsley, who defeated Port Vale 2-1 at Oakwell.

League Two

• Shrewsbury and Burton both moved above previous leaders Wycombe thanks to 1-0 wins; Shrewsbury won at Newport, while Phil Edwards scored the winner as the Brewers beat Bury. Wycombe slip to third after a goalless draw at home to Portsmouth.

• Luton and Southend kept up their pursuit of the top three; the Hatters beat fellow promoted side Cambridge 3-2 at Kenilworth Road, and a late Shaquile Coulhurst penalty saw Southend past York City.

• Bottom club Hartlepool won 3-2 against Plymouth, while there were also wins for strugglers Tranmere, Carlisle and Dagenham & Redbridge. Just two points separate Tranmere in 17th place and Mansfield in 23rd in the race for survival.
