It's a short price for an away team but, spare a battering down at Dean Court in week two, Gary Johnson's team have been producing performances worthy of odds-on expectation. Last weekend's 3-0 win at goal-shy Plymouth lifted Posh second as the triple-pronged offensive threat of Craig Mackail-Smith, Aaron McLean and George Boyd proved their worth once again (the trio have nine goals between them already). Tranmere remain winless, two goals in the final 12 minutes at fellow strugglers Dagenham & Redbridge preventing a third defeat in four matches last week. Don't expect those statistics to improve on Saturday.
Lincoln to beat Chesterfield @ 5-1
Stick with me here. The Imps' two defeats this season have been against Torquay and Rotherham, arguably the most impressive pair in the division thus far, while they won at Gillingham and were held by Crewe, themselves fresh off a 7-0 Barnet bashing. Unbeaten Chesterfield could well be over-respected, given their early schedule has incorporated a comparatively soft line-up featuring Barnet, Hereford and Macclesfield (admittedly, the other win was against Port Vale). It may sound like straw-clutching, but the price looks too long not to have a little bite at, though keep your stakes at half those of the first tip.
